A Big Day

Friday was a big day for us! Thomas turned one and Emma Kate had her first day of school. We started out the morning by singing happy birthday to Thomas. Of course he got a candle in his pancake!
  Then it was time to get big sister all ready for school.

        We hugged her and kissed her and told her how much we loved her, and off to school we went.

    She walked right back in school like she owned the place. All smiles and no tears! Thank you, Jesus. We were greeted by her sweet, new teacher, Mrs. Gabby.

  Her cubby was all ready for her.

  The announcement was made that it was time for all the parents to go, so the kids could get their day started. Emma Kate’s class headed to the cafeteria to start eating breakfast, and I snuck in one last picture before I left. Here’s my sweet girl, with her friends and teachers, chowing down on an egg burrito. School is SO great for her! I am so thankful.
