Cath update 2

It's 3:00 now, EK has been out of the Cath now for about an hour & a half. An hour in to the heart Cath Shannon called and said that everything was going well.So, we thought we would have about an hour before our next call. We then decided to grab a quick bite. As we were walking out of the Cafeteria, Shannon called and said she was done & everything went well. Dr. Breitbart met us at the elevator to tell us about EK's procedure. We chatted for a little while & then he asked if we would like to see the pictures from the Heart Cath. We were blown away.....He heard this narrowing in her left pulmonary artery through a stethoscope. Sure enough there was a narrowing and he showed the picture of the Catheter and some other stuff (please excuse my ignorance) , then the last thing he showed us was the balloon in the artery, then inflated, and then finally fixed. We are so thankful for Dr. Breitbart and his highly trained ears. No other doctor had ever heard this problem before and it took him about two seconds. We are so blessed to have such a caring cardiologist.

In about an hour EK is suppose to have another lung exam to make sure she is getting proper blood flow to both of her lungs. She has been cranky for a good while now, but that is why God has provided us with grandmothers. They are holding down the fort in the room for now.
