A lazy day
After a very long day yesterday, we decided that we would take it easy today. Emma Kate woke up at about 5 am (it is very bright and sunny here at 5 am), but we got her back to sleep and we all slept until about 9:30. It was so nice! Then we met up with Trey's mom and my two sisters and walked around the city (my mom was in a meeting all day for work). We saw Fenway Park, and had lunch at Boston Beer Works (which Trey loved, of course). After that, we headed back to the Devon Nicole House and all took a really long nap. My sisters were able to change their flight, so they decided to head home this afternoon. They will come back when we find out exactly when the surgery will be. Tomorrow, I think we are just going to be exploring Boston some more. Friday morning we'll go the hospital early to have EK's heart catheterization done. She will spend Friday night in the hospital and will hopefully be discharged Saturday some time.

ReplyDeleteSo nice to hear of a time of rest and sight seeing. WE loved Boston ; our home away from home. There is a really nice place called Berttuci's just steps from the Children's hospital front doors . The atmosphere is peaceful , good Italian food. Kent loved the pizza and Jessica and I would try different items off the menu. The hot bread with dipping oil is really great too. We went there on multiple occassions while Julianne was in the PICU as we knew she was in good hands with her own personal nurse looking in at all times. Yet close enough to get back in a hurry ; we would give the nurse on duty Kent & Jessica's cell number. Enjoy this sweet time with Emma Kate! Praying faithfully !
